Conclusion
In conclusion, I proved my hypothesis incorrect. I managed to clean up more oil than I predicted. This experiment demonstrated the process of cleaning up an oil spill because it took multiple steps and multiple materials. Cleaning up an oil spill does not take only one material and step to do. On a larger ocean scale, my procedure wouldn’t work that well. It would be really hard to find something big enough to act like a spoon or some cotton balls. You could possibly use something like a spoon to help gather the oil into one spot, but absorbing the oil out of the water would be very difficult. Overall this experiment was quite successful at demonstrating which materials clean up an oil spill the best.
